Walshs work is a blend of photography, handcraft and painting and her style has been called bold, emotional and provocative. In 2012, she co-wrote and produced the award-winning short film, Wild Horses. With Stefan Sagmeister moving on from commercial work, she’s now taken full charge of her creative agency and (in a bold move) rebranded to &Walsh. The other half of Sagmeister & Walsh, Jessica is arguably one of the most recognized names in the design industry today. Jessica graduated from Wellesley College with honours in psychology and French. Jessica began her advocacy career as an HIV antibody testing advocate with Columbia University’s Health Advocacy Program. Jess has served as a communications advisor to one of London’s largest public sector organisations, helping its management board deliver culture and organisational change. ![]() She leads H+K’s GSK team globally, and helps a range of clients communicate why innovation in areas like sickle cell disease, patient engagement and hearing technology are essential for Europe. Jessica has worked in HIV, anesthesia, multiple sclerosis and oncology across product and patient affairs portfolios. In her work as an advisor to global health clients in the private and public sectors, Jessica champions her team’s ‘people not patients’ mindset and the need to keep health human-centred as data and technology transforms and our healthcare experience. Originally from H+K’s New York office, having lead clients and teams across the UK and Europe for 15+ years, she has two decades of experience in global health communications and advocacy. As H+K’s UK Health + Wellness lead, she combines her passion with making a difference where it matters, connecting people with quality, accessible information to make sense of decision-making. Jessica’s expertise lies in simplifying science and balancing positively transformative technology with humanity, equity and inclusion in healthcare.
